Student Experiences
- Pioneer Day Students step back in time to experience life as pioneers through hands-on activities, crafts, dancing, music and storytelling. This beloved tradition helps students connect their social studies learning to the challenges and creativity of early settlers.
- Christmas Around the World
- During this festive learning experience, students explore how different cultures celebrate the holiday season. Through crafts, food, and music, they gain a deeper appreciation for global traditions and diversity.
- End-of-Year Carnival The school year ends with a celebration of teamwork, growth, and fun! Students rotate through games and activities planned by staff, enjoying one last memory-filled day with classmates before summer break.
- Cookie Baking Activity A sweet mix of math and creativity, students follow recipes, measure ingredients, and bake cookies together. This activity builds collaboration and reinforces math skills in a fun, hands-on way.
- Field Trips: Conner Prairie and Opalescent Glass Students bring Indiana history and science to life with immersive field trips to Conner Prairie and Opalescent Glass. They experience 19th-century life and learn how glass is made through live demonstrations and interactive exhibits.
- Guest Speaker: Abraham Lincoln Reenactor A highlight of the year, students meet an Abraham Lincoln reenactor who brings history to life through stories, humor, and historical insight. It’s an unforgettable opportunity to connect classroom learning with a real-world experience.
