I graduated from Indiana University in 1998. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. I earned a Masters Degree in Education from Olivet Nazarene University in 2006.

I love teaching 4th grade! I am incredibly excited about this year. I can't wait to go back to Space Camp in May!!!

Hello! Welcome to my web page and 4th grade! Just to let you know a little about me...I am currently on my 13th year of teaching (all at Western). I taught 2 years in the middle school, and 11 years in the intermediate. I teach language arts and social studies. I am a passionate reader, so gear up for a lot of reading in my classroom! If reading is not for you or your child, then fear not. I will work with your child to find a genre, author, subject, etc. to help engage them in reading, and hopefully come to enjoy. I have been an avid fan of the technology that brings the world to our fingertips and allows us to express our intellect and art effectively. I am fortunate to be in a position to share this enthusiasm with Western Intermediate students along with the important message to wield the power of technology safely and kindly.

Hello! Welcome to Mrs. Young's 3rd Grade Class! I graduated high school from Kokomo and then went on to get my Bachelors Degree in Education from Indiana University. I began teaching third grade at Western Intermediate in 2008. I have a true passion for teaching! I love each and every one of my kiddos!
